Care home and hospice room clearance

When a care home or hospice room needs to be cleared, we understand that the timing can be difficult for the family. Tell us the deadline set by the care provider. We will discuss what is possible and handle the agreed belongings with care.

What we take care of

  • Removing the agreed furniture, clothing and personal belongings
  • Setting aside items the family wants to keep
  • Coordinating the time with the care home staff
  • Leaving the room broom-clean as agreed

What we need to know

Please tell us which care home or hospice the room is in, when it must be empty and how we can gain access. A few photos help us prepare a clear quote.

Medicines and medical waste

Please arrange for medicines, needles and other medical waste to be handled by the care provider or an appropriate collection service. They are not part of a standard room clearance.

Arranging access

Tell us who is authorised to approve the clearance and who can hand over the key or access pass. We agree on items to keep, collection times and any photos of the finished room before starting.

Frequently asked questions

Can you take medicines or used needles?

No. Medicines, needles and other clinical waste must be handled separately by the care provider or an appropriate authorised service. Please arrange this before the room clearance.

Can you clear the room without the family present?

Often, yes. We first confirm who can authorise the work, which belongings must stay and how access and key return will be arranged.
